Milani Baked Blush: Luminoso

Hello Pretties!

Today’s review is on the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso:

For those of us makeup junkies, many of us have heard of/own the Milani Baked Blushes. As far as I know, here in Canada, Superstore is the only place that carries the Milani line – which makes my grocery shopping trips very easy to get side-tracked into the beauty section!

I’ve sat on the idea of purchasing this blush for a while (I have so many others!) but I finally did, with all the rave about the finish and quality of this product.

I chose the shade Luminoso as I tend to gravitate towards peach-toned blushes – it gives such a fresh look to my complexion, goes with almost any makeup menu and as I am a more natural makeup kind of gal, I find that peach blushes are always safe for day and evening looks.

Baked blushes are known to have very good quality and pigmentation — this blush is no exception! Just a couple swirls of this on my blush brush is all I need to get more than enough product. This blush is primarily peach coloured with a very subtle gold sheen. Some of the other Milani Baked Blushes are more obvious in the gold veining throughout the product, but Luminoso is one that is more ‘uniform’ in shade, if that makes sense.

You can see in the photo, the beautiful glow this blush has.  There is no sparkle or glitter – so don’t be afraid!  When this is on my cheeks I love the effect it gives – the shade brightens up my medium skintone while also giving it a subtle, healthy looking glow — who doesn’t want that?

There are about 8-10 shades that I’ve seen in the range – there are a few that I’d love to get my hands on:  Rose D’oro (a soft rose with golden glow) and Berry Amore (a berry rose with gold shimmer).

The gold packaging of this blush is quite nice as well — a little more luxe-looking for a drugstore brand.  And the amount of product you get in this compact will last you a very long time given the fact that a little goes a long way!

I would be pretty confident in saying that most skintones would wear Luminoso well.  Those of you with fair skin, I think this would give such a nice soft glowy effect, as long as you’re not heavy-handed with the blush.  For those with medium skin (like me), this just gives a nice, healthy ‘lift’ to the complexion. And for those with deeper skintones, this might be a great highlighter or blush overlay, when you want that extra glow!

I purchase this for $9.99 Cdn at Superstore.

I give the Milani Baked Blush: a STANDING OVATION
