Mask Mondays: Brightening Facial Sheet Mask by Balea

Hello Pretties!

It’s that time again – Mask Mondays! I should start by saying: BE WARNED. Some of the photos in this post are quite disturbing. And entertaining. And pretty hilarious actually. Amongst my collection of face masks, tonight’s choice was the only lonely one in the pile that was a sheet mask. It was my first time trying a sheet mask. And for its pure entertainment factor, it probably won’t be the last time I try one:

So this was the first time I had tried a sheet mask. I cut open the package and pulled out the sheet mask and I proceeded to unfold it. It was completely soaked in the liquid of active ingredients — not as messy as I had imagined actually, which was a good thing. I managed to unfold it and hold it up to see two holes for my eyes, one for my nose and one for my mouth. I laid it over my face and pressed it in gently. Oh boy, did I have a good laugh when I put this on! And I think Gracie, my cat, had a bit of a scare — when she looked up at me, she let out a little startled meow and ran away! Poor girl. I don’t blame her. Look!:

Hi. I look like a freak. But this mask feels nice!

And for some more laughs, I just took a few more:

TRYING to look pretty. Yeah. Umm. No.

TRYING to look pretty. Yeah. Umm. No.

And because this mask can’t be removed before doing what you know you want to do with a mask like this on:

Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Ok, enough of that!

This mask was very cooling and gentle on my face — I didn’t experience any discomfort or stinging with this mask. It has a very fresh, floral scent. I left it on for 15 minutes and then I pulled it off, which pretty much just slid off very easily. I massaged the liquid left on my face — quite silky and slippery feeling. Then I rinsed it off with cold water.

I really can’t say I noticed anything special about this mask. Yes, brightening. Yes, radiance. But that’s the after effect of using any mask really, upon first try. I will say that it was pleasant to have on, especially because it had a very nice cooling effect. And cleanup was a complete snap.

I would buy a sheet mask again, not necessarily this particular one, but one just for the fun factor of wearing one for 15 minutes.

I give the Brightening Sheet Facial Mask by BalΓ©a: a SHOULDER SHRUG

Have you tried sheet masks before? How do you like them? What kind have you tried and what do you recommend for good results?

Thanks for tuning in Pretties!
